About Traces

Traces captures the sessions developers run with AI coding agents, normalizes them into one format, and lets teams share, search, and learn from them.

What Traces does

Traces is the hub for your coding agents. The Traces CLI reads the local session files that agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode, Amp, Cline, Copilot, Pi, and Gemini CLI already write, converts each session into one shared format, and uploads the sessions you choose to share.

Every shared trace gets a stable URL with the full conversation: prompts, model replies, tool calls, file edits, and results. Teammates can open a trace, follow how an agent reached a change, and continue from where it stopped.

Who uses Traces

Individual developers use Traces to keep a searchable history of their agent sessions. Teams use organization namespaces to share sessions, review agent work next to pull requests, and see which agents, models, and workflows produce results. Open source maintainers and educators publish public traces so others can study complete agent runs instead of screenshots.

How Traces handles your data

The CLI redacts secrets on your machine before upload. You choose whether each trace is private, visible to your team, or public, and organization admins control sharing defaults. The privacy policy describes what we collect and how long we keep it.
